26 1/2 WeeksSo, I'm not very good at regular updates on our blog, but I do have a valid excuse on why it has taken over a month to add another post. Lance and I decided we should mix things up a bit and put our townhouse on the market and look for a new home. Yes, while I'm 7 months pregnant...We are in desperate need of more space and a yard for our dogs, so we've given our realtor until around July 25th to sell our place (and find us another). He's a good friend and up for the challenge! Now we wait and see what happens. So, back to the reason it has taken me so long to add a post...after our trips to Vegas and D.C., we spent every free moment packing up our house to make it show-ready. On top of that, I also flew to Raleigh for work for 3 days, so May was a very busy month. If all goes as planned, it will be well worth it, but I don't think either of us realized the amount of work it would take to get our place where it needed to be.
On to the fun stuff: Baby McGee is doing great. She is growing on schedule (if not a bit faster than she should with my uterus measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule), super active, but not making me too uncomfortable just yet. I'm still sleeping fairly well and have to thank our friends Jason & CB for the amazing wrap-around body pillow they passed my way a few weeks ago. It's a snake-like, C-shaped pillow that doesn't take up too much space in bed and supports my head, belly and legs/hips. An incredible invention!
My parents were able to join us for our last ultrasound at 28 weeks. This was their first experience with this technology since I'm their youngest (at 33) and Julie & Karen didn't live in town while they were pregnant with their kids. It was a fun experience and we were thrilled to share it with them! The ultrasound tech took a couple of 3D pictures of our little girl for us (see below). Kind of tough to see since it's a digital picture of an ultrasound picture, but it gives you an idea. I have to admit that seeing her 'face' made everything that much more real to me. Yes, that might sound strange as I have a basketball for a belly, have to alter most things that I would have done 7 months ago, can feel her moving almost all of the time etc., but seeing her face...wow, this is all for real!!!

You look great! I am so excited for her arrival!
